MARRIAGE REGISTRATION UNDER HINDU MARRIAGE ACT - 1955

Marriage is solemnized in the Arya Samaj Mandir and the same is registered under Section 8 of the Hindu Marriage Act-1955 by the Registrar of Marriage appointed by the Delhi / NCR Government without giving any notice to the parents of the parties.

Required Documents Under Section 8 Of The Hindu Marriage Act-1955 Are As Follows:

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR SAME-DAY MARRIAGE UNDER SECTION 8 OF THE HINDU MARRIAGE ACT-1955:

1. Documentary evidence of date of birth (Matriculation Certificate / Passport / Birth Certificate / Driving License). Minimum age: 21 (male), 18 (female).
2. Election Card and Aadhar Card of both parties.
3. Separate affidavits from bride and groom (we prepare them).
4. Ten passport-size photos of each party.
5. Two witnesses with 4 photos each, PAN, Voter, and Aadhar Cards.
6. Affirmation that parties are not related within prohibited degrees (not blood-related).
7. Copy of wedding card or temple certificate with marriage photo.
8. Divorce decree (if divorced) or death certificate (if widow/widower).
9. For foreigners: NOC from respective embassy regarding marital status.

Note: Delhi government operates for registration on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday only.

Time Required

i) Normally, the Delhi Government provides a marriage registration certificate within 4 working days; under the Tatkal scheme, it’s available within 24 hours.
ii) NCR areas like Ghaziabad, Bagpat, Loni, Khekra, and Noida issue certificates the same working day.
