NIKAH UNDER SHARIAT ACT

Nikah is performed under the Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) Application Act-1937 and registered by the Registrar of Marriage appointed by the Delhi/NCR Government — without giving any notice to the parents of the parties.

Required Documents under the Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) Application Act-1937 are as follows:

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR SAME DAY MARRIAGE REGISTRATION UNDER THE MUSLIM PERSONAL LAW (SHARIAT) APPLICATION ACT-1937:

1. Documentary evidence of the date of birth of both parties (Matriculation Certificate / Passport / Birth Certificate / Driving License). Minimum age: 21 (male) and 18 (female).
2. Election Card and Aadhar Card of both parties.
3. Separate affidavits from bride and groom stating the date of birth, marital status, and nationality (prepared by us).
4. Ten passport-size photographs of each party.
5. Two witnesses (any side) with four passport-size photographs, PAN, Voter ID, and Aadhar Card each.
6. Copy of wedding card or Nikah Nama along with marriage photograph.
7. Divorce decree/order in case of divorcee or death certificate of spouse in case of widow/widower.
8. If one party is a foreigner, a No Objection Certificate from the concerned embassy regarding marital status.

Note: Delhi government works on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday only.
